The Port Elizabeth Shark Cage Diving Adventure in Five Parts

Observing Whales in Deep Water

Start your journey by exploring the deep seas near Port Elizabeth, where migratory humpback whales frequently pass by the shore.

The Run of Sardines

After that, we travel 80 km across the mouth of the bay, pausing to see any Sardine Run activity we come across. A wide range of marine creatures is drawn to this natural occurrence.

Go to Bird Island Group

Discover the historically significant Bird Island Group, which is home to the world’s largest breeding colony of Cape Gannets, 250,000 of which are found there. The flat ground offers great views of the famous lighthouse, African penguins, and the gannet colony. Stag Island, Seal Island, and Black Rocks, home to 4,000 playful fur seals, make up the group.

Experience Diving in a Shark Cage

We provide our instructive Shark Cage Diving experience close to Bird Island. Following the opportunity to see Great White Sharks from the boat and underwater, guests will be able to have a packed lunch while admiring the stunning surroundings.

Observing Dolphins at Alexandria’s Dune Field

The Alexandria Dune-field, the longest moveable dune-field in the world, is where we end up. Against the breathtaking backdrop of immaculate dunes, we frequently witness Bottlenose Dolphins surfing the waves here. This offers a great photo opportunity. Finally, we travel to St. Croix Island, which is the location of the African Penguin breeding colony in Algoa Bay.
